About the Program

The Puget Sound Business Journal started the ‘40 under 40’ program 22 years ago to acknowledge dynamic business leaders under the age of 40. The magazine shares stories of such individuals from the business community and celebrates their success with an award program. The aim to start such an initiative was to bring these individuals together from all sectors into a powerful network of young business leaders and make even greater contributions to the region’s economy and civic dialog.

Each year the Puget Sound Business Journal publishes a special 40 Under 40 section in print and online and recognizes all 40 honorees at the 40 Under 40 Awards Luncheon, which will be held in September 2020.
